Increase Twitter communication to minimize suspension/ban accounts
The Issue
Hello, my name is Jessica Stewart and my account was permanently suspended from Twitter. One day, I woke up to check my Twitter app, I had no notifications, no followers, no one I’m following, and my list disappeared.
I had no idea what was going on and I contacted Twitter support to see what happened. I thought it was on their end of a glitch, but they sent me an email later on my account suspension.
”Hello,
We’re writing to let you know that your account has been suspended––and will remain suspended––due to multiple or repeat violations of our rules.
We don’t allow the following behaviors on Twitter:
Creating serial and/or multiple accounts with overlapping uses
Evading a permanent suspension by creating or using another account
Cross-posting Tweets or links across multiple accounts
Aggressive following, particularly through automated means
Please do not reply to this email or send us new appeals for this account as we won’t monitor them.
Thanks,
Twitter”
I had no warning (communication via email or notifications that my account was going to be suspended permanently and I didn’t realize that I was violating these rules nor do I understand them clearly. I was using my account to help spread awareness and advocate for the disabled community.
Twitter needs to be more like Facebook where if you do something wrong, they will let you know immediately (how I learned from my mistakes), limit/restrict features, and Facebook Jail on serious offenses.
I know that I’m not the only one and I would like to have my account back. But Twitter needs to be more communicative to their clients to understand the rules better. I feel like they are negligent with their consumer services to set us up for failure.
Help by sharing your experience with Twitter and that you think they basically ignore their consumers (doesn’t care) that makes them money. Another suspension/ban is loss of consumers and money. I would love to help other people get their accounts back as well as mine! Thank you!
