Increase the Real Living Wage for UK Security Workers

Increase the Real Living Wage for UK Security Workers
The Issue
The Security Industry Federation (SIF) Trade Union represent thousands of security workers across the UK. We believe in the dignity of work, in the importance of our members roles in safeguarding businesses, employees, and the public. Despite the gravity of their tasks and the hours they put into ensuring safety, many of our members are still denied fair compensation. This has led to a struggle to meet basic living costs.
Security professionals are an indispensable part of society, yet are subjected to an income that is far from adequate. According to the Living Wage Foundation, an employee in the UK needs to earn at least £12.60 (£13.85 in London) per hour to cover the basic cost of living. Yet, many hardworking security professionals are not paid this rate.
The SIF Trade Union is leading the way in promoting the Living Wage Foundation's mission, lobbying to ensure that every UK security worker is paid the Real Living Wage. If we unite our voices, we can push for the change that so many of our colleagues desperately need.
It is time that our industry's wages reflect our effort. I urge you, the undersigned, to join the SIF Trade Union in demanding an increase in the hourly pay rate to the Real Living Wage for UK security workers. Sign this petition to show your support and help us gain the attention of key stakeholders. Together, let us fight for fair compensation and dignity for all UK security workers.
