Increase the number of programmable tennis courts in Fuquay-Varina
The Issue
Fuquay-Varina, a rapidly growing town in North Carolina, is in urgent need of more programmable tennis courts to meet the demands of its active and expanding community. With a population that has nearly doubled in the last decade, there has been a significant increase in interest in recreational activities, particularly tennis. However, the current number of programmable tennis courts is insufficient, leading to overcrowding and limited access for residents.
The benefits of playing tennis are well-documented; it promotes physical health, mental well-being, and social interaction. Tennis is a lifetime sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, and having accessible tennis courts can greatly enhance the quality of life for Fuquay-Varina's residents. Investing in more programmable courts not only accommodates the growing interest but also supports community wellness.
To address this issue, we propose the allocation of funds for the development and maintenance of a small tennis facility of 6-8 tennis courts in Fuquay-Varina Parks. There are many USTA resources, including technical support and significant grant funding, to assist in this project.
By providing more tennis courts, Fuquay-Varina would encourage healthy lifestyles, foster youth development through sports, and create a more vibrant community. It is an investment in both the present and the future of the Town of Fuquay-Varina.
We urge local government officials, park authorities, and concerned citizens to come together to make this a reality. Let's make Fuquay-Varina a leader in accessible and inclusive sports facilities. Please sign this petition to support the expansion of programmable tennis courts and help the town live up to A Dash More.
