This petition is written on behalf of a gentleman who uses a wheelchair and, like many others, requires access to a disability-equipped change room at the Goodna Aquatic Centre in Queensland, Australia. The current situation is not only inconvenient but also unfair. Despite there being six disability parking spaces available at the centre, there is only one disability-equipped change room. This imbalance leads to wait times of up to thirty minutes for those who rely on this essential facility.

This issue affects not just one individual but many people in our community who use the pool and require these facilities for their basic needs. It's time we address this disparity and ensure that everyone has equal access to amenities they need.

We call upon the management of Goodna Aquatic Centre and local authorities to increase the number of disability-equipped change rooms in line with the number of parking spaces provided for people with disabilities. By doing so, we can reduce waiting times and improve accessibility for all users.
