Increase the minimum sentence for manslaughter!

Increase the minimum sentence for manslaughter!
The Issue
Nathaniel Bierley a much loved brother, son, boyfriend and an amazing friend was tragically murdered in Nottingham city centre in March 2022. Nathaniel Bierley was brutally attacked in town on March 5th early hours. He died in the ambulance in the way to the hospital, but was bought back around and put into a medically induced coma. For 12 days he was fighting for his life in Nottingham QMC, but was sadly pronounced brain dead and later died in hospital on Friday 17th March 2022. Nathaniel went on to donate his heart and two kidneys hopefully saving three peoples lives. Nathaniel was so full of life and was always looking for a new adventure. He was the most determined and kindest person I’ve ever met and you couldn’t tell him he couldn’t do something. He took pleasure in proving you wrong. Nathaniel always stood up for what was right and as his sister I am determined to make a change to our UK laws.
In court being told the minimum sentence for manslaughter was only four years absolutely broke my heart all over again. Sadly I never had much faith in the justice system anyway, but that just trampled on every bit of hope I had of getting justice for Nathaniel! Loosing a brother was painful enough, without knowing his murderer could be walking the street again in less than 2 years. Every year on our birthdays and Christmas I will be sat at the cemetery to be with my brother, how is it right that the person responsible for that could be out in less than two years. In a world where crime rate is so high it is now time to make a stand! When is it going to be enough? How many more people have to die before someone makes a change? How many more mothers have to loose their son to the streets before something will change. Please stand with me and show support on this! At 20 years old I should not be burying my 26 year old brother!
MAKE THE MINIMUM TIME FOR MANSLAUGHTER LONGER!! IF YOU CAN DO THE CRIME YOU CAN DO THE TIME!
IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE IN OUR LAWS!
