Increase the Legal Definition of Juvenile Age to 21

Increase the Legal Definition of Juvenile Age to 21
The Issue
I strongly believe that individuals under the age of 21 often make poor decisions due to their not yet fully developed brains. This is not just a personal opinion, but it's backed by science. Research shows that brain development continues well into our twenties. As an 18 or 19-year-old, you are still considered a teenager, yet you're held accountable for your actions as an adult.
Consider this - the legal drinking age is set at 21 years old. The same goes for tobacco use, adopting a child, renting a car, buying a handgun and applying for law enforcement positions - even the FBI requires applicants to be at least 23 years old. These laws exist because our government recognizes that individuals in their early twenties may not have reached full maturity.
Furthermore, medical professionals allow young people up to age 21 to see pediatricians due to continued physical and mental growth during this period. If we acknowledge these facts in some areas of law and healthcare, why don't we apply them consistently across all aspects?
The current legal definition of juvenile age does not reflect what we know about human development today. It's time for us to reconsider this outdated standard and raise the juvenile age from eighteen to twenty-one years old.
By doing so, we can ensure that young people are given adequate time for their brains to fully develop before they're held entirely responsible for their actions as adults.
also I do agree that the military, semi-automatic rifles, age of majority, somewhat for driving, voting age, age of consent, NSFW adult content, just anything with the laws at 18 being raise higher than 18. also while saying this, you can stay on your parent's health insurance until you reach the age of 26.
Please sign this petition if you agree with raising the juvenile age limit from eighteen years old up until twenty-one years old.
