Open captions in cinema screenings not only benefit those with hearing impairments, but they also assist non-native English speakers and seniors who benefit from visual reinforcement of dialogues and cues in a movie. It is time to ensure that Ohio's movie theaters demonstrate inclusivity and cater to the needs of all patrons. Therefore, we demand policymakers and theater operators within the state to increase the frequency of open caption screenings.
