Bring commuter rail to the Valley of the Sun

Phoenix needs a regional commuter rail system so bad because your nearest Amtrak station is between 30 and 40 miles south of Phoenix in Maricopa in neighboring Pinal County Arizona 

and I am getting just moderately impatient with the 30 years of waiting for such a direct connection between Phoenix and Tucson to come back alive
