Every time the ferry arrives at Ferry Point Park (FPP), I, like many others, feel compelled to run just to secure a spot on the shuttle. This is an issue that affects many of us daily and there needs to be a change. It is unjust that after a long day at work, people have to endure a 10-minute walk in often cold and rainy weather to reach their cars in the main parking lot from the ferry terminal. The current shuttle service is inadequate for a ferry that seats approximately 150 people.

The state has previously allocated funds for repairs when the shuttle broke down but has yet to invest in increasing its seating capacity or fixing its broken back door. We believe these funds could be better used towards providing us with larger shuttles that can accommodate more passengers.

This petition calls upon our local government in Bronx, NY, USA, to take immediate action and increase the capacity of shuttles servicing FPP. Let's ensure everyone who disembarks from the ferry has access to comfortable and efficient transportation back to their vehicles without feeling rushed or inconvenienced.
