Hi All,
I sent another email today.
This is what I wrote:
Hello Captain Lanzilotti,
I would like to follow up on the current situation. As of now, 670 families have signed our petition to increase security - https://www.change.org/p/increase-security-measures-at-jewish-institutions-in-bergen-county?recruiter=456694422&recruited_by_id=9ee9bf00-65bc-11ee-b8b3-3db712e0f6d6&utm_source=share_petition&utm_campaign=share_for_starters_page&utm_medium=whatsapp
Furthermore, I would also like to refer you to this news link that encourages joining the fight this Friday - https://thecommunemag.com/hamas-founder-khalid-mashal-asks-muslims-to-gather-on-friday-jumuah-prayer-calls-for-jihad-to-be-applied-on-the-ground/?fbclid=IwAR1Hj67wpisHhYQIhCGA98PGZypRznCk2VVpoFrovp45apk-RMwN4xlPR6A
Finally, I would like to meet in person today to discuss and see how our community can help.
Do you have any specific time in mind for this meeting?
This is the Cresskill, NJ Police response:
Mr. Kleiman,
I understand your concerns and we are diligently working to monitor multiple levels of threat assessments to ensure we are aware and responding accordingly. We continue to share information and intelligence with other local, county, state and federal law enforcement partners in addition we continue to keep open lines of communication with the Jewish Federation of North Jersey. I am also aware of the call for violence for this Friday 10/13 and this information is being assessed for mitigation planning. The most important function at this time for our community members is to remain vigilant and know that we are taking any and all threats seriously, investigating any leads necessary and responding whatever resources are required proactively. I would also reinforce that at this time there is no direct threat to Cresskill, however, we fully understand that this is a fluid and dynamic situation that requires regular threat assessments. At this time, I would suggest that you and our community continue an open dialogue of your concerns with our agency and along with Bergen County and our State, we will ensure that we continue in our efforts by providing the highest level of professionalism and security to our communities.
