The Issue

I am a resident of Ebury Drive, directly across from Jennings Park, and like many of my neighbours, I care deeply about keeping our community safe.

Recently, residents have shared security-camera footage showing concerning late-night and early-morning activity in the area. In one incident, two individuals were captured near a residence late at night, and trash or debris was later found left at the resident’s doorway. In another incident, around 4:00 a.m., an individual was captured walking through driveways and checking vehicles. One unlocked vehicle was entered, and items may have been removed from inside.

These incidents have understandably raised concerns among residents, particularly because they are occurring during hours when most families are asleep.

Jennings Park and the surrounding streets are used every day by families, children, walkers, joggers and neighbours. We want to ensure that the area continues to feel safe and welcoming for everyone.

I am asking Peel Regional Police and the City of Brampton to consider increased overnight and early-morning patrols, particularly during the hours when these incidents have occurred, along with other appropriate community safety and crime-prevention measures.

This petition is not about creating fear or making assumptions about any individual. It is about asking for proactive attention before these incidents develop into more serious property crime or safety concerns.

If you live in or around the Jennings Park neighbourhood and share these concerns, please support this petition. A strong response from local residents will help demonstrate to Peel Regional Police and the City of Brampton that our community would like increased attention and preventive measures in the area.
