Increase HUD Rates For Labor On Foreclosed Assets

The Issue

For the past 30+ years Housing and Urban Development has refused to increase payments to Labor on its Mortgagee Letter (ML) for services upon their foreclosed assets. The average contractor receives less than $6 for an inspection which determines whether or not an American may lose their home which is the biggest investment of their life.

As inflation skyrockets; as fuel prices are anticipated to top $6 a gallon; and as materials required including licensing and insurances are at historic highs, HUD continues to refuse to increase pricing. It should also be noted that the refusal of HUD to ensure that Labor is paid a fair wage by HUD's middlemen has created an entire disenfranchized section of society.

With Minority Females and Labor shouldering the expenses in an environment which tens of millions of dollars have been paid for employee misclassification, it is time for HUD to pay Labor and ensure that HUD's middlemen are held accountable!

Your signature ensures that HUD is aware that its continued pay discriminations are known not only to Labor but to the American Public!
