Increase Funding for Homeless Dogs Shelters

The Issue

Every day, there are helpless, scared, and confused dogs strewn across our streets. Animals, who, just like us, don't deserve to feel endangered. Dogs who are just like the one I have at home - loyal, loving, and wanting little more than a warm bed and a kind hand. The number of homeless dogs in the US is staggering. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), approximately 3.3 million dogs enter U.S. animal shelters every year.

The consequences of homelessness for these dogs are dire. Not only are they susceptible to hunger and the elements, but many can carry diseases that can spread among their population, causing further suffering. Furthermore, without a secure shelter to take them in, the chance for a good quality life reduces drastically.

However, with more financial support to organizations that rescue these homeless dogs, we can bring a substantive change. We can provide these animals a safe haven, nourishment, and potentially, a new loving home too. And by doing so, we not only ensure their survival and wellbeing, but we also take a step towards a more compassionate society for all living beings.

Please join me and countless others who believe no dog should live in fear or danger. Sign this petition and let our local governments know that more funding is necessary to support homeless dogs' shelters. Let's stand together for our voiceless friends.
