Increase Frequency and Length of SEPTA's Cynwyd Line Trains!

The Issue

As a concerned citizen, I am deeply troubled by the current operation of SEPTA's Cynwyd Line. Despite not being a resident of Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, I recognize the critical role this line plays as an alternative to one of Pennsylvania's most dangerous highways - more dangerous than Roosevelt Boulevard - The Schuylkill Expressway. Yet, it only runs on weekdays during rush hour and the trains are merely ONE car long! This is totally unacceptable. But what is even more unacceptable is the fact that the line terminates at Suburban Station and does not serve Jefferson Station or Temple University.

The Cynwyd Line serves not just commuters but also contributes significantly to reducing traffic congestion on our roads. By increasing its frequency and train length, we can provide safer travel options for our community while also mitigating traffic-related issues.

SEPTA needs to acknowledge the importance of this line and take immediate action. We demand that trains should be at least 3 or 4 cars long and run off peak hours 7 days a week. The line should also terminate at either Jefferson Station or Temple University. This will ensure that more people can rely on public transportation rather than risking their lives on hazardous highways.

Let us work together in making our community safer and more accessible for everyone. Sign this petition to urge SEPTA to increase both frequency and length of trains on the Cynwyd Line!
