Reasons:

1. It's called "Day" not "Hours".
2. Only 3 hours is not enough while you have urgent and important matters at hand.
3. Event time being fixed at exact hours is not fair for those who have duties.

Demands:

1. Event(s) should be fair and accessible for everyone. I'm not talking about premium events here though.
2. Make gameplay and experiences better, not worse.
3. Listen to players, you're making money because of them. Don't ever forget that.

Wanted Results:

• Make it run whole day. Spawn rate and shiny chance can be little lower than current settings. It's a win-win.

OR

• Revert it back to "6 HOURS" (pandemic setting)! Players doesn't make an use of whole 6 hours, doesn't mean they want it to be shorter.

OR

• Add "Let's GO" button in "The Today View" to start their event whenever they're ready. This will give everyone a chance to fully enjoy their free time and the game.
