Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) certified medical technician (CMT) geriatric nursing assistant(GNA) play a vital role in the healthcare system, providing essential care to patients and supporting nurses and other medical professionals. Yet, despite being the backbone of the nursing community, we are often underpaid and overworked. We are not just figures in a faceless workforce; we are people with families, responsibilities, and dreams. We dedicate ourselves to compassion and care, but our compensation does not reflect this dedication.

In today’s economy, the cost of living continues to rise, and unfortunately, our wages have not kept pace. Many CNAs, CMT,GNA struggle to meet even the basic standards of living, despite working demanding schedules that require considerable physical and emotional endurance. The current pay rates do not align with the qualifications and critical duties we perform constantly on a daily basis.

A fair increase to $30 an hour would not only acknowledge the invaluable contributions of CNAs,CMT, GNAs but also help us maintain a decent quality of life. It would serve as recognition of the tremendous responsibility we hold in caring for the vulnerable members of our communities. Quality care cannot exist when those who provide it are themselves struggling to meet their basic needs.

Fatigue, burnouts on CNAs,CMT, GNAs that directly impact the quality of care that patients receive. By increasing pay, we can improve patient outcomes through retained talent and experience. This petition calls upon healthcare institutions and policymakers to recognize the urgent need for increased wages for CNAs, CMT,& GNAs. It's time to respect and honor those who dedicate their lives to helping others by ensuring they are compensated fairly for their invaluable service.
