Thanks to those who signed the petition so far! After publishing it I discovered a new page on the ICMPC17 homepage called "Information for Online Participation". It is not very encouraging for those planning to participate virtually I'm afraid. So I made a small corresponding change to the main petition text and added a new section below it with ideas on how the conference could be organized. Comments are welcome, parncutt at uni-graz.at.

Incidentally you are free to remove your signature from the petition for any reason. There is an unsign link in the email you received from change.org after you signed.
