Include the United States in the Next Eurovision Competition

Include the United States in the Next Eurovision Competition
The Issue
Like many of you reading this, I have often wondered - if countries such as Australia can participate in the Eurovision Song Contest, why is the United States left out? It's a question personal to me, as well as to many fellow Americans who love this international celebration of music and unity.
Since its inception in 1956, Eurovision has grown into a global phenomenon, welcoming countries from beyond Europe. Australia joined the competition in 2015, despite their geographical location, showcasing the contests evolving cultural diversity. Yet, the United States, a country bursting with musical talent and cultural diversity, remains on the sidelines.
Currently, the only 'American' involvement is a dedicated U.S. broadcast of the competition, which began in 2016. But why only watch when we have the opportunity to influence, contribute, and show our talents on this global stage? While the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) sets the rules for Eurovision participation, public advocacy can sway the EBU and influence revised participation rules.
More inclusive participation rules would symbolize a true unity within the international music industry, representing a step forward in creating a diverse and inclusive global platform. By signing the petition, we collectively voice our desire for inclusivity. Let's signal to the EBU that the United States is ready and willing to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest. Please, sign this petition to include the United States in the next Eurovision competition.
