The lack of jurisdiction for Ridge Manor Estates has made it increasingly difficult for our local county sheriffs and officials to conduct proper investigations of local crimes, maintain forests, and uphold local ordinances. As more families continue to pour into our community, this situation has escalated to a crucial issue that must be addressed. 

Ridge Manor Estates is currently beyond local county jurisdiction, leaving us in a sort of no-man's land for county services. This not only affects our abilities to address local issues quickly and efficiently but also makes it difficult to create a safe and thriving community for our increasing population.

When it comes to local crime, without the county's full jurisdiction, law enforcement response might slow down or be limited (US Department of Justice). Additionally, Deferred maintenance of our rich forests could pose risks to public safety and the environment (USDA Forest Service).

It's time the county took full jurisdiction over Ridge Manor Estates. This will allow us to bring effective law enforcement, safeguard our forests, enforce local ordinances, and ultimately create a communal space that everyone can be proud of.
