Include Original Crisis Core PSP Voice Option in FFVII Crisis Core Reunion

The Issue

We, as fans, kindly call upon Square Enix to include a voice switch option for the new game,  Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core Reunion to experience the game with both the Final Fantasy VII Remake Cast as well as the Original Crisis Core PSP Cast.

We believe Rick Gomez should also have the ability to continue voicing Zack Fair in Final Fantasy projects. The script of Crisis Core Reunion follows the original script and thus, would make it appropriate to reuse the recording from the original PSP game.

Square Enix has already implemented the idea of having two same-language casts in a game by offering players the option to play through the Japanese version of Star Ocean: First Departure R with both the old and new voice actors. Square Enix wasn’t the only Japanese company to include two-language casts in one game as Konami also gave players the choice to play Silent Hill 2 HD Collection with the original cast and also the new cast in the English version.

Please look at this article to see how this was done for both Star Ocean: First Departure R and Silent Hill 2 HD Collection:

Two language casts in one game has been done before, and would be a great addition to Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core Reunion to give players the new adventure with the new FFVII Remake cast and also a nostalgic playthrough with the Original Crisis Core PSP cast while giving the incredible honor to voice such wonderful characters to both the Remake and Original Crisis Core PSP cast without either one being left out. This game has been advertised to be created for the players, let’s make that happen with the inclusion of the Original Crisis Core PSP cast.

We ask for Square Enix to do right by the fans.
