NEW PEOPLE ARE ON THE SCHOOL BOARD, AND SOME WANT TO CHANGE THE MASCOT BACK TO RED RAIDERS OR RAIDERS, WHICH HAD A RACIST NATIVE CONNOTATION, without support or permission of the indigenous community here. In addition, there is a petition circulating in support of returning to the old mascot name.
This petition will continue to be open to sign and share until there is no possibility of the racist-related names returning.
