Despite the school board decision to adopt a NON-native mascot, some are rallying against that and trying to go back to the Red Raiders or Raiders name. We cannot allow that. We have to move forward in order to respect and honor the indigenous populations and heritage of our country!
We need as many signatures and shares as we can get. We want to gather as many supporters and indigenous supporters of this cause as possible, from all over the globe.
The school board and state/ government here need to see the importance of honoring the indigenous and teaching the true past/ history of our region and country, and the world.

"Divisive school mascots should be changed.
That was the message sent by the Vermont Principals’ Association Executive Council in a statement on Friday...
The statement read, “School mascots are often powerful symbols within a community. We believe that mascots and all school symbols should support feelings of belonging and inclusivity for students and the wider community. They should not perpetuate divisive stereotypes and contribute to the ongoing marginalization, erasure, and harm to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) communities."
