Include Diploma in Pharmacy in new RRB recruitment
Include Diploma in Pharmacy in new RRB recruitment
The Issue
I am reaching out to express a deep concern faced by many Diploma in Pharmacy holders like myself in India. In the latest Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) recruitment, our qualifications are not being considered. This decision has not only affected my future but also the futures of thousands of pharmacists who have dedicated their time and effort to achieve their diplomas in pharmacy.
To pursue a Diploma in Pharmacy, each of us spent years fulfilling academic requirements, practical experiences, and training, all complying with the standards set by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). We all chose this path with a clear understanding that it would provide us with respectable employment opportunities in various sectors, including the government sector. For many of us, working for the Indian Railways was a dream career path, promising stability and growth.
The exclusion of graduates with a Diploma in Pharmacy from consideration in the new RRB recruitment contradicts assurances given by regulatory bodies and previous recruitment policies. Until now, individuals with our qualifications were eligible, and the sudden change has sparked confusion and overwhelming disappointment.
It is crucial to address this issue by reinstating the eligibility of Diploma in Pharmacy holders in RRB recruitments. Many of us have already undertaken rigorous preparations, including passing competitive exams specifically designed for such recruitments. These efforts should not be dismissed without fair consideration.
The impact of the current recruitment ruling is significant. Not only are we, the diploma holders, left disheartened, but our families and communities who depend on our prospective employment as government professionals are also affected. This decision undermines the hard work and ambition of skilled individuals who have continuously contributed to the healthcare sector in India.
Thus, I urge the relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Railways and the Pharmacy Council of India, to immediately reconsider their recruitment criteria and include the Diploma in Pharmacy as an eligible qualification for the RRB recruitment. By doing so, the government will not only acknowledge our capabilities and contributions but will also uphold the promises made to students choosing vocational paths in pharmacy.
Let us stand together to make our voices heard. Please sign this petition to help us restore fair hiring practices within the RRB and secure the careers we have arduously trained for. Your support can bring about the change we so earnestly need.
