My boys grew up skateboarding and we always had to make the drive to a neighboring private business or another city's park. This results in drive times over 30 minutes, especially on the weekends. My youngest son is also really into skateboarding and having a park close by within walking distance allows him to work on his talent without limitations.

The development of the Big Cedar Wilderness Park presents a unique opportunity to bring this much-needed amenity to our community. A skatepark would serve as a vibrant hub for local youth, providing them a safe space to engage in a healthy, active lifestyle.
