The World Series of Poker enters its 42nd year of running.  Over the years, the game of poker has greatly expanded.  This is reflected through the changes made over the years which include change of venue and ownership, new events, and an increase in players. 

While games such as Badugi and 5-Card Draw don't even carry their own events at the WSOP, Razz remains the only game which appears by itself on the schedule without also being accomodated by a 10K World Championship event.

Games like this don't make it on the schedule because they traditionally have an obscure image.  If enough people show interest in a World Championship Razz event, it will eventually get on the schedule as well. 

-Last summer, the 7-card stud $1500 event had 408 entrants, while the $2500 Razz had 365 entrants.  The year before, 359 and 315, respectively. 

-The last time that both events had the same buy-in of $1500, 2008, the 7-card stud event had 381 entrants, while Razz had 453. 

-The 7-card Stud World Championship event had 150 entrants last summer, and 142 entrants in 2009. 

If we can get 150 signatures from players that would seriously consider playing in a 10K Razz World Championship event at the 2012 World Series of Poker, it will be taken into serious consideration.  So lets do even better, and get 200!  As long as nobody asks for the game to be added, as long as Harrah's is unaware of the popularity of Razz, a World Championship event will not exist.  Thank you for reading.
