As this year comes to a close, and we prepare to welcome the next Mayor and City Council leaders, we're delighted to share our excitement about how far we've come, and what our next steps are. As of now:

• We've raised over 1,050 signatures! We reached 1,000 in 1 month's time, 50% faster than our own estimates. 
• Our interview with The Guardian was posted on Reddit and was viewed 1.1 million times in just 3 days! Combined posts had a 99% "upvote ratio", and 92% of comments were positive. 
• Our policy points were checked by lobbyist consultants and have clear paths forward. 
• Our proposal's goals have been refined to ensure alignment with current health, environmental protection, small business, and Open Streets initiatives and goals throughout City departments. 
• We've identified both incumbent and incoming City Council members that may be potential Sponsors/supporters of our proposal. 

Now time to begin the plan-of-attack. January is going to be a big month for hitting the ground running and getting the attention of our legislators. To that end we are:

• Attending local community board meetings (both those fully open to the public, and relevant board-only committee meetings);
• Creating briefs tailored to each City Councilmember's community liaison (based on past works and legislative records);
• Resuming our media strategy to focus on awareness, support, and media coverage.
