We sign this Petition in support of Chicago Police Officer Eric Stillman Star No. 19277 who the City of Chicago is seeking to terminate from his position as a Chicago Police Officer through an administrative hearing before the Chicago Police Board under case no. 23 PB 3025.  We, as active and retired law enforcement officers, as citizens and members of the public, sign this Petition in a show of support for Officer Stillman and that he not be terminated as a result of the shooting of Adam Toledo.  Officer Stillman, like all law enforcement officers, was placed in a deadly and dangerous situation when Adam Toledo turned  in his direction with a gun in his hand on March 29, 2021.   We ask the Chicago Police Board to hear our support of Officer Eric Stillman who has served the citizens of Chicago honorably, courageously and with distinction for over eight years.  During his service as a Chicago Police Officer, he has been recognized by the Chicago Police Department no less than fifty-five times for his exceptional service which includes forty-three departmental Honorable Mentions, a Departmental Commendation, and the Chicago Police Superintend’s Award for Tactical Excellence.  This is in addition to his service on behalf of the United States of America as a decorated United States Marine serving his country in combat.  We are resolute in our support and undaunted in our belief that Chicago Police Officer Eric Stillman should be returned to service.
