In One Class Period, We Can Teach Delaware's Students to Be the Next Generation of Lifesavers!

Sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death in the United States and 88% of sudden cardiac arrests occur at home. For every minute that passes without CPR and defibrillation, chances of survival decrease by 7-10 percent. That's why it's important that we all learn how easy---and critical---it is to take action.

You might be surprised to learn that we can teach Delaware's students CPR and what to do in an emergency in just one class period. You can help ensure that this generation of students becomes the next generation of life savers--send your message now in support of CPR training for Delaware's students!

I support efforts to ensure students learn CPR before they graduate high school. Learning CPR is simple, only takes one class period and can save a life.

Sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death in the United States, and doesn't often occur where medical professionals are readily available. In fact, 88% of sudden cardiac arrests occur at home. Every minute that passes without CPR and defibrillation, chances of survival decrease by 7-10 percent. That's why it's important that we all learn how easy---and critical---it is to take action.

We can teach Delaware's students what to do in an emergency in one class period and I believe we should. I hope you'll support CPR in schools to help ensure that this generation of students becomes the next generation of life savers.
