In honor of John Lewis Pass the Voting Rights Advancement Act!

In honor of John Lewis Pass the Voting Rights Advancement Act!
The Issue
The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is a landmark piece of federal legislation in the United States that prohibits racial discrimination in voting.
In lieu of efforts to diminish voting rights, recently deceased civil rights leader John Lewis passionately pushed for passage of H.R.4 the Voting Rights Advancement Act sponsored by Rep. Terri Sewell which would strengthen and restore provisions of the Voting Rights Act and which passed the house, but has been sitting on Mitch McConnell’s desk for more than 260 days!
Politicians responsible for the efforts to suppress voting rights have been hypocritically praising John Lewis.
It's disgusting.
To truly honor John Lewis and his legacy of fighting for civil rights we demand that Mitch McConnell put the bill on the floor for a vote and that the Senate pass it!
