IMVU Creators System Justice

The Issue

IMVU community, we need your help!

What's happening in our community?

There has been a string of creator accounts disabled due to IMVU's Creator TOS (terms of service). IMVU's Service of Use has not outdated since 2015. We are currently in 2021, which means it is time for an update. Without the update, there has been room for false DMCAs towards creator accounts, resulting in the removal of those accounts.

This has become a more significant issue for IMVU creators, especially when there are no formal investigations behind it. We have witnessed some of our favorite creators become disabled due to these false DMCAs. We have also seen some of our other creators bring forward evidence of receiving a warning email from IMVU or a DMCA but then disabled through email immediately one minute after.

We have lost over 20 creator accounts from this issue with just yesterday, some coming forward with evidence of IMVU asking specific creators to remove a mesh or creation. When done so and approved, they are still disabled MONTHS later.

IMVU, it's time for a change. We deserve a proper response from you. Creators are tired of being ignored and hidden when it comes to creator issues. It is not fair to the creators who have spent years on IMVU, contributing to the IMVU's success and authenticness with their creations. The countless amount of money spent monthly on this platform helps build the IMVU community and better our experience as IMVU users.

Moving forward, we are fighting for a change within these issues:

  • Proper investigations when it comes to DMCA reports
  •  Better communication from the IMVU team and IMVU support
  • An update on IMVU TOS
  • Actively listening to your consumers
  • The opportunity to remove a reported product from the IMVU shop before account termination

Please take a stand with IMVU creators by signing and sharing this petition to progress in the IMVU community and help make a change. Let's make this IMVU's top priority to its community.
