A few updates for you:

1. Court strictly ordered Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) to obey rules and transparency when inducting Assistant Registrars against the recent advertisements. despite, PEC has violated the regulations. A contempt of court order needs to be filed.

2. PEC has played a dubious game. Against each of the provincial quotas, only top 3 candidates were hired on the basis of test scores. Rest of the slots have been filled ignoring merit. The impression is that merit has been followed; however, in reality, merit is strictly ignored. Merit formulation criteria must be made known and test-score alone cannot equate to top merit.

3. There are rumors that PEC had planned to obey merit. However, the federal ministry interfered in the merit.

3. One of the selected candidates is sibling of a Governing Body member. He was low in both test and academic merit. 

The behavior is not suitable for a professional organization like PEC. Chief Justice Pakistan should take notice of such violation of rules.
