Friday use to be a weekly holiday in Pakistan, as Jumma Prayer congregation is a very highly valued weekly event. Unfortunately, in Nineties it was changed to Sunday with the logic of better business connectivity to the western world. However, in todays world with unlimited connecting media avenues, this surely can be taken care off. Secondly, there is always a business break of atleast 2 hours across the board on Friday making the day smaller.

Lastly the biggest damage it has done, Children since Nineties have lost the opportunity to the knowledge of what is the FAZEELAT of JUMMA beacuse they usually are in their school vans, or are too tired to go to Masjid or like we use to have elders at home taking them to Masjid. Infact an entire generation has lost this BABARKAT FAZEELAT.

Have we gained anything from Sunday as holiday, I am sure overwhelming majority would say NO, NO and just a big NO.

I request the First lady and Prime Minister of Pakistan to revive the Friday as weekly holiday.

Hopefully it may become a step in right direction, and may this please Allah to bless our nation with prosperity and Barakaat.
