Equestrian Australia is the governing body of Equestrian sports in this country. Between April and June 2023, EA took 10 weeks to respond to a horse welfare and abuse complaint formalised by a club member. 

This response time frame is unsatisfactory. It needs to change. This petition will be presented to the CEO of Equestrian Australia with a request that ALL horse welfare complaints made to them formally, be investigated, acted upon and finalised within a 14 day period for urgent cases and a 28 day period for less urgent, taken from the date of the complaint being received.
