Many of us take the ease of getting to school for granted. In the United States, we have access to school buses, cars, and often live within a reasonable walking distance from our schools. However, this is not the case everywhere. In many regions worldwide, such as Bolivia,  students face significant challenges in accessing education due to a lack of transportation infrastructure. This issue is particularly prevalent in rural areas where schools can be miles away with no safe or efficient means of transport available.

Improving transportation options would not only facilitate better access to education but also improve safety conditions for these students who currently have to traverse dangerous terrains just to get an education.

We urge Bolivian policymakers to acknowledge this issue and work on educational accessibility reform to prioritize improving transportation infrastructure as part of their efforts. Every child deserves a safe and convenient way to get an education
