Improved rail services are essential for the future growth, connectivity, and sustainability of Nenagh and the surrounding communities. We are calling on the relevant authorities to invest in and modernise Nenagh Train Station and the wider rail service on the line.

Our key requests are:

1. Reopen and fully staff the station building, including ticket sales facilities, an indoor waiting area, toilets, and amenities such as a coffee shop or café for passengers and visitors.
2. Increase the number of train services to and from Limerick, with reliable and frequent services operating seven days a week to support commuters, students, workers, tourists, and local residents.
3. Introduce a direct rail service between Nenagh and Dublin, reducing travel times and improving access to the capital without unnecessary transfers.
   Modernise the railway infrastructure by automating level crossing gates along the line, replacing manual gate operations to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety.
4. Nenagh deserves a modern, accessible, and dependable rail service that supports regional development, reduces road congestion, encourages public transport use, and strengthens connections across Ireland.

We urge Irish Rail and the Government to prioritise investment in the Nenagh rail line and deliver the improvements our community needs.
