I've mistakenly suggested to contact Mayor Dennis Smith since the farm is located in Sequim, but a family member sent me a reply from his office stating OGF is located in Clallam County. Therefore, with the help of the county commissioners' assistant I was directed to Commissioner Mark Ozias. I've sent him the same letter I sent Mayor Dennis Smith with a link to my petition & attached the USDA documents. I'll keep you all updated once I hear back from him.
You may contact him with your concerns: mozias@co.clallam.wa.us or 360.417.2233.
I've also attached an article I found written in the HuffPost, 3/16/2015, in regards to animal cruelty accusations made about the farm. On this article I found a couple of organizations which I've also contacted for possible assistance/guidance.
A more recent article written on the Peninsula Daily News in July, http://www.peninsuladailynews.com/news/olympic-game-farm-adds-two-timber-wolf-puppies/, talks about how the Beebe family took in 2 Timber Wolf pups. For some of you that have concerns that the Beebe family may not be able to afford to maintain their "sanctuary" then it raises some questions to why take in more animals? Why not make it a priority to repair & improve the habitats of the animals already at the farm? Why not start a crowdfunding where they can also provide daily video footage, to their contributors & followers, on where the money is going & how they are making improvements? For those who would like to see an example of this, follow Four Paws International on Facebook where you can see live footage of their rescues & the steps they take to give these precious animals a better life.
Again, there's a few people out there that are angry about this petition which makes me wonder if they have read anything I've written & documents & links I've attached because to be angry about wanting an improved life for animals doesn't make any sense to me. Why not? Why are people afraid to question when something doesn't seem right or legitimate? Don't just follow what people say either, do your homework. I'm doing my homework & only wish I was wrong. So far, it doesn't seem to be the case.
Thank you to all those who continue to support this petition. In the end, it's all for the animals.
