Improve the Sanitation and Maintenance of Glasgow Park's Porta Potties

The Issue

A personal incident at Glasgow Park highlighted a public health issue we can no longer ignore. A much-needed visit to the Porta potties encountered there ended up in a personal struggle to avoid using them. The condition inside was a clear indication of inadequate sanitation and maintenance.

Glasgow Park, loved by hundreds , deserves better, especially considering the essential role sanitarily maintained public bathrooms play in disease prevention and health promotion. The World Health Organization proves that improved sanitation reduces diarrhoea rates by 36% (World Health Organization, 2019). This stark statistic is a call to action for all parks, especially those as valued as ours, Glasgow Park.

Therefore, this petition asks for the authorities to institute a regular and comprehensive cleaning schedule for Porta potties in Glasgow Park. It is a reasonable expectation for such a well-frequented public place to have its Porta potties consistently cleaned and restocked weekly.

We urge you to advocate for better sanitation in our beloved park. Don't let a public health risk overshadow the enjoyment that Glasgow Park provides. Sign our petition to implement immediate change and create a healthier, more enjoyable environment for all park-goers.
