The Issue

The Pinehurst traffic circle is more than just a roundabout; it serves as an iconic and historic entrance into the village of Pinehurst, NC. Midland Road, with its unique charm and character, deserves to be preserved for future generations. An NCDOT proposal to replace the traffic circle with a continuous flow intersection threatens to destroy this special landmark.

Continuous flow intersections might improve traffic efficiency in some areas, but they are not suitable for preserving the historical and aesthetic value of our circle. Let 's find ways to improve safety and traffic flow without compromising what makes Pinehurst - and Moore County -  unique.

Sign this petition and urge local and regional authorities to seek alternative solutions that enhance the functionality of the Pinehurst traffic circle while maintaining its historic significance.
