Changes to the 46 bus service in April 2022, and especially in January 2023, when Stagecoach won the contract, have made the service worse. The 46 is a vital service to access the QE Hospital for many in Kings Norton.

But since all the changes the route is long and unreliable and doesn't serve all residents of Kings Norton. It's made it difficult for residents and hospital workers to get to the QE, affecting their health and forcing them to use taxis and increasing costs during a cost of living crisis. It is clear that it is not providing what residents need.

Immediate action is required and we call on Transport for West Midlands to:

• Restore the service along Longdales Road and Masshouse Lane
• Improve the reliability of the service
• Make the route to the QE Hospital more direct
