As a local business owner in Harrington, NSW, I am personally experiencing the detrimental effects of our unreliable telecommunications. Our businesses are suffering daily due to non-existent or intermittent services. This is not just an inconvenience; it's a significant hindrance to our economic growth and community development.

In today's digital age, reliable telecommunication services are not a luxury but an essential need for businesses and residents alike. The Australian Bureau of Statistics reports that 86% of households have internet access (source: ABS). Yet in Harrington, we are left behind with subpar services that do not meet our needs.

This issue affects us all - from the IGA, chemist, cafe, hairdresser etc etc - unable to process card payments during peak hours due to poor internet connection, the farmer who can't access real-time weather updates crucial for their operations or even students who struggle with online learning because of unstable connections.

We call upon the relevant authorities and service providers to take immediate action. We demand improved infrastructure and consistent telecommunication services for Harrington. Let's ensure that everyone in our community has access to reliable telecommunications necessary for day-to-day activities.
