Every school day, my friends, classmates and I rely on school-provided lunches. I am concerned about the safety and quality of these meals. Over the years, there have been numerous incidents where students have been injured due to inadequate packaging or unclear instructions on how to handle and heat these lunches.

The current state of school lunches raises significant issues that cannot be ignored. The packaging used is not only inefficient but sometimes can lead to accidents, like burns, due to improper instructions or flimsy materials. The unappetising nature of these lunches discourages children from eating them, potentially affecting their nutrition and learning.

It's time for the government to take action. First, they should provide clear guidelines on how these meals should be safely packaged, handled, and heated by whoever handled these lunches. This can prevent accidents and ensure the meals are consumed at their best. More importantly, the government should explore transitioning to environmentally friendly and safer packaging options. This move not only improves safety but also aligns with global efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and protect the planet.
