Motorists very often speed on Tanglewood Park Boulevard. This endangers and burdens the residents of Hilliard Commons and Hilliard Village:

• residents driving from Fresno, Snow, Winthorne, Apricot, Steffi, Everbrook, and Valencia Park need to exit with great care to avoid accidents
• residents driving out from Snow Drive are particularly imperiled by a tight curve obscuring the view of south-bound speeding motorists (several accidents have occurred already)
• residents crossing Tanglewood on foot to patronize the many nearby businesses are left waiting and have no protection from speeding motorists
• residents living closest to Tanglewood suffer the excessive noise from speeding motorists
• children waiting for their school buses are endangered by speeding motorists

Support our petition to get crosswalks and speed bumps installed along Tanglewood Park Boulevard.

The sooner we have these installed, the fewer accidents will occur. The icy roads of winter are coming. Moreover, we can encourage a more active lifestyle among residents if walking to Meijer, etc., becomes safer.

A recent crash among many occurred at the intersection of Snow and Tanglewood. Three drivers were involved. Here is the result:

   

 

 

 

 

Our initial thought is to install seven crosswalks (green) and three speed bumps (red) as below:

 

 

 

 

 

We are also wondering about possibly installing a 4-way traffic light somewhere along Tanglewood, or additional stop signs. Some form of traffic calming is needed.
