We, the undersigned parents, families, students, community members, and users of Liberty Union High School District facilities, respectfully request a district-wide safety review of fencing and protective barriers surrounding stadium and bleacher areas at all LUHSD high schools.

We are concerned that portions of the existing fencing may be too low or too easy for children to climb, creating a potential fall or injury hazard.

We are asking the District to inspect each stadium, determine whether current barriers provide adequate protection, and make appropriate safety improvements where needed.

Because these stadiums are used by students, youth sports programs, families, athletes, and community organizations, we believe it is important to take an action before another injury occurs.

We respectfully ask Liberty Union High School District to:

Conduct a prompt professional safety inspection of the stadiums fencing and bleacher barriers.

Have the area reviewed by the appropriate facilities professionals and, if needed, a qualified architect or engineer.

Determine whether the existing barriers provide adequate protection for children and visitors using the facility.

Consider temporary safety measures while the review is being completed.

Evaluate permanent improvements such as taller fencing, anti-climb screening, protective mesh, or another professionally designed safety barrier.

Provide the community with an update regarding the inspection findings and any recommended improvements.

This petition is not about assigning blame. It is about prevention of any future injury.

Our goal is to help ensure that Liberty Union District High Schools remains a safe environment for students, children, athletes, families, and everyone who visits the stadiums.

A relatively simple improvement today could prevent another serious accident in the future.
