The Issue

This evening, as I crossed Henarce Road Junction with my family, we narrowly escaped a potential accident when a vehicle failed to stop at the junction. This was not an isolated incident; the absence of road markings and signage has repeatedly led to dangerous situations and caused numerous accidents along this stretch of road. I am deeply concerned that if immediate action is not taken, a fatal accident might occur.

Henarce Hill, a vital route for locals and residents, lacks essential safety measures, making it perilous for pedestrians and drivers alike. Despite multiple incidents reported at the same spot, there has been no significant attempt to address this critical safety issue. The absence of clear road markings and signage at junctions leads to confusion and dangerous driving conditions, increasing the risk of accidents.

Local statistics reveal that traffic-related incidents in this area have surged over the past few years. According to data, there have been over a dozen accidents at this particular junction in just the last year. Each of these could have been mitigated, or even avoided, had proper road markings and signage been in place.

What we need is a concerted effort from the local council and relevant authorities to install proper road markings and signage at Henarce road junctions. Simple measures, such as warning signs, stop signs, and crosswalks, can dramatically enhance road safety and prevent potential tragedies. This action will not only protect the lives of our children and community members but also ensure a safer commute for all road users.

By signing this petition, you can join me in urging the local authority to prioritize the implementation of safety measures at Henarce road . Together, we can prevent future accidents and ensure that this road becomes a safe passage for everyone in our community. Please sign the petition and share it with your friends and family.
