In fact, according to the National Crime Prevention Council, an inadequately secured residence is more than twice as likely to be targeted by a criminal, demonstrating just how crucial proper safety measures are (National Crime Prevention Council, 2019).

Furthermore, a study by the University of North Carolina asserts that increased security measures can lower crime rates by as much as 50 percent, suggesting an immediate need for action in improving our neighbourhood safety procedures (UNC Department of Urban Studies, 2020).

We must call on property owners, local authorities, and all involved stakeholders, to immediately review and enhance the safety standards of our living environment, ensuring the security of all residents.
