The Issue
You know what changes the way you look at dangerous driving? Having kids. Because when you watch someone speeding down the interstate, it's not just a random driver anymore. You see somebody’s child in that car, somebody’s parent waiting at home, or somebody’s family hoping they'll walk through that door safely.
Every single day, families in East Tennessee face the harrowing reality that their loved ones might not make it home because of preventable road accidents. Statistics show that traffic fatalities and injuries remain alarmingly high in our region, with speeding and distracted driving being leading causes of these tragedies.
This situation is deeply personal to me, and it shouldn't take a tragedy for things to change. Our roads should be safe havens, not hazardous paths.

Stricter Enforcement: Increase law enforcement presence to deter reckless and distracted driving.
