Our community thrives on the beauty and inspiration that public art provides. However, we currently have only one significant piece of public art - a situation that needs to change. Public art not only enhances our environment but also stimulates our minds, fosters community engagement, and boosts local economy. According to the Americans for the Arts organization, every dollar invested in public art generates $7 in economic returns (Americans for the Arts). We need more investment in this area to enrich our city's cultural landscape. Therefore, we urge our local government to allocate more funds towards increasing both the quality and quantity of public artworks in our city.
