I have been trying for almost two years to tell Washington Police Department that pedestrian safety is a huge issue. They refuse to give it any attention. My hope is that others signing this petition will change their mind in light of the multiple recent vehicle vs pedestrian incidents in Washington. I myself have been struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk and have had numerous close calls as well. It is time for change before more lives are lost.
