As a student, I often walk about town to get to school and to other extracurriculars. It is important that roads are safe so that students, like myself and younger, can safely walk around town without the fear of getting injured due to unsafe roads.

Increased traffic, insufficient crosswalks, and a lack of proper signage exacerbate the danger faced by pedestrians every day. The children of our community, especially, should not have to navigate these risks on their way to school or play. Children and adults alike should feel safe on the street is why it's so important that this issue gets the support it needs.
