A Monroe nurse once even told me that if she were set on fire, she wouldn't go to Promedica Hospital in Monroe for treatment. It's alarming to witness a consistent thread of negative tales concerning the quality of care and service, yet no visible actions seem to be taken to address these grievances. Many people in our community express their dissatisfaction and concern through various outlets, yet changes are minimally noticeable, if at all.
Personally, I've never lived anywhere where so many people have had consistently negative experiences with medical care, ranging from minor treatments to major healthcare issues. It's disheartening to see the one common factor in these stories being the same medical company. Whether lack of compassion and empathy from staff, and extreme emphasis on the insufficient and substandard medical inadequate diagnosing and care, the pattern is clear and troubling.
The primary goal of this petition is to urge Promedica Health System to conduct a thorough internal review of the hospital's practices, policies, and staffing procedures. This review should focus on identifying areas where patient care is lacking, based on the numerous complaints and negative feedback from the Monroe community. Additionally, we call for improved training for medical professionals in patient communication and empathy, as well as a transparent communication channel between hospital management and patients.
